Individually Quick Frozen (IQF)
Blacklip, Greenlip and Roei
Eyrewoolf Abalone IQF are shucked and chilled at sea. For optimum quality and value Eyrewoolf Abalone allows the abalone a minimum of 18 hours bleeding before being frozen at a core temperature of -27 degrees celsius in two hours. The abalone is then dipped in clean water to form a glaze to protect the abalone in transit, all orders are overpacked to account for the glaze weight.
Chilled Abalone Products
Blacklip, Greenlip and Roei
Eyrewoolf Abalone are shucked (the meat is removed from the shell) and chilled at sea, they are then graded and packed to specification at the factory.
Canned and retort pouched abalone
Blacklip and Greenlip abalone
Eyrewoolf Abalone are shucked (the meat is removed from the shell) and chilled at sea, they are then “rumbled” to remove all of the frill pigment. The abalone are individually hand-checked for quality and graded to size, they are then hand-placed into a can with brine, closed and cooked in a retort.
Australian Abalone Shell

Eyrewoolf Abalone shells have naturally pearly iridescent white mother-of-pearl interior and tan-coloured rough surface on the back.
They are available unpolished and are ideal for jewellery and furniture. A, B and C grade available. The shells are approximately 14.5cm to 20cm in size.
